The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) is contested worldwide, with regular state, national and international competitions.
What makes it different
No two matches are the same. Competitors may shoot standing, sitting, lying down, or through windows. Working out how to shoot each course accurately and quickly is a challenge even for top-ranked shooters.
All kinds of pistols are used, from centrefire to rimfire and semi-automatic to revolver, and from factory models to fully custom competition pistols. IPSC also extends to Practical shotgun and rifle. At SSPC ACT, you can shoot each on its own or all three in one match, known as 3-Gun.
To compete interstate or internationally, you'll need IPSC Australia membership affiliated with your home club. IPSC ACT is the territory association for SSPC ACT.
