Service Pistol
Revolvers are the preferred choice, though semi-automatic pistols are also widely used. Matches are shot at 50, 25, 10 and 7 yards: 90 rounds for a maximum of 900 points. Competitors shoot freestanding, and standing, prone, kneeling and sitting behind a barricade.
25 Yard Service Pistol
A variant that limits barrel length to about four inches. Speed loaders aren't allowed: rounds are carried in a pocket and loaded by hand.
WA1500
WA1500 is similar to Service Pistol, with three courses of fire: 150 shots over nine stages, 60 shots over five stages, and 45 shots at four stations. A wide range of pistols is used, each course setting its own equipment rules. The maximum score is 1500 points, hence the name.
